Modern Restaurant and Pizzeria is famous for its homemade Italian dinners and pasta dishes, as well as our Old Fashioned Brick-Oven-Pizza.' 'Long in history, Modern has been serving Westchester County since 1920. Originally a bread company, Modern evolved into one of Westchester County's first pizzerias, and became a favorite spot for many Westchester residents to enjoy home-made food and great pizza in a casual, friendly environment. Modern Restaurant and Pizzeria re-opened in 1987 using the same name. The good, old fashioned taste of authentic Italian food and friendly service was what Modern became known for. 'Continuing in that tradition, on December 30, 2012, Modern Restaurant & Pizzeria served its last meal at 12 Russell Avenue, and opened its doors at its new location, 310 Huguenot Street.
